Before you sign a contract with a translation service, make sure that you ask them a few questions about their services and policies, if you don’t already know the answers. What’s the charge per 100 words? Is their quote subject to change? Is the translator a native speaker of the target language? How will you be compensated if the work isn’t finished on time? Can I get a certified copy?These should be clearly written out in the contract or agreement that you sign, but it’s best to make sure that you completely understand the terms of service before work begins.
